At the start of the COVID pandemic lockdown in March 2020, I decided to try my hand at acrylic painting. I bought a set of cheap paints and a few canvases online and turned my dining table into a mini studio. No one would visit my house again for many months and I didn’t give much thought to the mess I created. That was unusual for someone like me who has been called, very politely, a neat freak.
