
Amid all the political noise of today, I want to stop and think of all my soldier friends I met in Iraq and back here at home in all the years I covered the military.
Today is Veterans Day, a time for pause and reflection about the courage and sacrifice of our men and women who served in uniform. I am afraid that they will not get the attention they deserve given the current post-election situation.

On the matter of the American affair with guns —
Notwithstanding all the gloss of “freedom” which gun advocates attempt to paste onto the issue, in my opinion, the driving force is the desire of some charismatic mal-oriented people to be able to take a human life and get by with it — or even be praised for doing so. . The remainder of gun advocates are simply dull Groupies.
Those same dull groupies also vote, obviously ! ! !
